Why Take Air Travel Australia Right Now!

Now is probably the best time to meet the two challenges that come with planning a vacation to Australia.  Both the length of air travel Australia from the US and its associated cost has never been easier to overcome because of the travel industry’s efforts to attract travelers world wide in the light of the present Global Financial Crisis.

Flights to Australia have never been so competitively priced.  Accommodation costs are enticing too.  Right now return airfares from Los Angeles and San Francisco to Sydney are as low as US$744.  Three star accommodation in down town Sydney is around $81 a night.  Things are looking so good that if you are considering a trip Down Under you may well be able to afford it now.

Delta, United Airlines, V Australia, Northwest Airlines, Qantas, American Airlines, Air Canada and Air New Zealand all have regular flights across the Pacific and offer special deals to remain competitive.

Flights to Australia are some of the longest flights you’re likely to take but airlines accommodate their passengers surprisingly well on these flights.  A number of movies and meals and an opportunity for a light sleep can while away the 13 hours that a non stop flight will take.

We‘ve taken air travel Australia many times over the years and we manage long flights by
•    Avoiding excessive alcohol consumption
•    Drinking plenty of water
•    Moving around plane often to keep our circulation going
•    Stretching regularly to keep our muscles active
•    Always wearing comfortable clothing
•    Taking a foam filled neck support for better sleeping

To reduce or avoid jet lag while traveling to and from Australia consider the following

Sleep in the day before you leave for Australia (stay up a few days before this). This will enable you to arrive with a body clock closer to local time.

Go to bed early before you leave and adjust to local (home) meal and activities as much as you can after arriving home.
Include a stop over in Hawaii en route.

This is a now a possibility because of reduced airfares and accommodation costs.  It’s a great place to stop over in for a day or two and diminishes and sometimes eliminates any jet lag during air travel Australia.
